Who we are:
We are pushing for legislation mandating that eighty percent of all main subject teachers take a mental health course to help aid and point out signs of mental health issues in students. This legislation applies to every New Jersey public school. The bill seeks that it be conducted every three years, with one hundred percent of all main subject teachers having taken the course in nine years. To certify that these teachers have completed the course, they will be required to pass an assessment and score at least eighty-percent. They will be allowed to take the course again as many times as they like, given that they score below the minimum.
